What makes sourdough so tasty and versatile? We were eager to find out. And started experimenting with cultures, expanded our knowledge about fermentation, tested recipes, baked, tasted and developed a sourdough range called FERMDOR®, so that we are sure will meet your expectations.
For many years sourdough has been used almost exclusively to acidify bread and improve the taste of baked goods. However, it can be used for so much more, including making bread softer, with a moister crumb and open structure. In addition to delivering a unique, rustic flavour and improving the shelf life, sourdough fermentation also offers technological and nutritional advantages.
We are proud to provide Bakels FERMDOR®, a range of sourdough products to assist bakers in efficiently producing a wide variety of artisanal style bakery products. The clean label range of sours, made using state-of-the-art fermentation, is of the highest quality and can be used to enhance flavour and texture in products such as white and brown bread, puff pastry, pizza dough, sweet yeast doughs, as well as pasta and even meat marinade.
